Lumbini Ashokan Pillar

He constructed four stupas and a pillar with an idolized horse on top and an inscription detailing his visit and the importance of Lumbini as Lord Buddha ‘s birthplace. The pillar is enclosed by a small fence, adorned with colorful prayer flags and also has bowls for lighting and meditating on incense sticks. This pillar has historical value and is considered one of Lumbini ‘s great attractions.
